On December 19th 2007 the moment finally came when the Revolution Took Off... 220002 and 220006 coupled up. 220002 and 220006 in Connolly before departing with the 11.05 to Sligo. Note the activity around the Cab Area. Arrival in Sligo was to a good amount of Fanfare. 220002 and 220006 in Sligo after arrival with the 11.05 from Dublin Connolly. The New Train in Old Surroundings! Sligo Signal Cabin. People having a look around the Cab. 220006 prepares to lead the 14.55 to Dublin Connolly. On the 21st December came a trip to Ballina,with 201 Class Loco no 211.Here Portarlington Curve. And here on the Athlone curve.Note the white on the ground,it was quite cold! The Modern Face of Iarnrod Eireann. Ballina has a few heritage artifacts.Here at G.S & WR Signage, Bufferstops, And a Semaphore. 2601. The Railcar set back at Manulla Junction. The Crossover at Manulla Junction. 2602 at Manulla Junction. 211 brings it's Mark 3 set into Manulla Junction with the 13.10 Westport-Dublin Heuston. Freight & Passenger Together in Athlone,with 076 leading the Norfolks. Curve into Roscommon. Curve into Athlone. This service,the 13.10 ex Westport,had been Mark 2's all week prior to this. 085 in Athlone. 144 behind 085.It had been with a Ballast Train in Castlerea earlier in the day. 29420 in Maynooth,23.12.07. Unfortuantly only days after the revolution took off,Mark 2's had bid farewell to the Sligo Line,for the Second Time!!081 leads a very shadowey Mark 2 set into Maynooth,with the 08.55 ex Sligo. The Sunstreaks were a killer! The 8.55 ex Sligo glides through Phoenix Park station. Takes the Curves over Ballybough, And the Final curtain into Connolly. 081 is Disconnected from the Mark 2 Set. 081 in Dublin Connolly. 081 and the Mark 2's. 9003 leads the 10am ex Belfast Central into Dublin Connolly. 160 leads the Mark 2's out of Platform 4,bringing an end to Mark 2 operation in Dublin Connolly. And off to the Wash,eventually to Heuston. 081 after being shunt released from the Mark 2 Set. 233 First Photo of 2008 came out slightly blurred.202 Class 57 no 57312 The cover was put back on fairly quickfast! RPSI No 186 at the back of Connolly,14.01.2008. Red Line Trams 3015/3020 at Connolly,14.01.2008.Both are among the shrinking 30 metre trams left on the red line. An overview of the station. Both 2900 class sets 1 and 29-first and last-were on the Kildare/Newbridge services. 225 heads through on the 12.40 to Westport. 6101 heads the 13.05 ex Waterford.
